Well, long story short. It’s a pun, a word twist, a joke with words. It’s Swedish and it is the combination of Kjell and Kod.
My name is not Kjell (a common Swedish name), and Kod is not the fish (Cod) as many seem to think.
It all happened around 1980 or so, when my friend and I was playing around with computers and I was investing time into the realms of code, that mysterious collection of characters that make up programs running on a computer.
A direct translation to English would be something like SourceCode. It felt right saying it in Swedish at the time, and it stuck with me. It has since then been a moniker of mine.
But, there are other KjellKod’s out there, of course, and I humble myself and salute you!
